Where are you located?

We are located north of downtown Amherst, on a quiet street between Kendrick Park and Amherst Regional Middle School. 

What are your rates and hours?

For 2026, the full tuition rate for infants (15 months and under) is $110 per day (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM). While the program is still small, we are open to flexing the hours slightly based on family needs (for example, if a family wants to do 8 AM - 4 PM or 9 AM - 5 PM instead, or to extend the hours for an additional $15 per hour). 

Do you offer a sliding scale or other financial assistance?

Tuition equity is one of our goals and works in progress. Here is how we currently try to make care accessible to more families:

We accept vouchers / MA Child Care Financial Assistance (CCFA).

Since the voucher wait list is long, families with fewer financial resources may also apply for our private tuition assistance fund. 

We ask that families with greater financial resources consider contributing additional funds or "rounding up" in their tuition payments--these contributions are the foundation of our tuition assistance fund and enable Taproot to provide care for families from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. 

Rates and policies are subject to yearly review and change, depending on the needs of our families and the program as it grows and changes.
